Windows 8.1 and networking capabilities

Postby macdelta » Wed Feb 04, 2015 5:07 pm

I'm running two separated networks at home where one is based on cables and the second is WiFi. I know Mac OS X has no problem running multiple network connections at the same time, but am a little bit unsure if Windows will be able to do it.

I need two of my PCs on both the cabled network and the WiFi at the same time. Both networks have access to the internet, and this is the base of my doubt of Windows. Will I be able to have the PCs connected to two networks where both network is connected to the internet?

The reason I'm asking this is I have a home cinema setup based on Plex with a Plex server streaming video, music and TV shows to an iPad, iPhone, HTPCs, laptop, etc., and would like to continue to use Roomie remote on the iPad/iPhone as the remote, and hook up the laptop to a TV once in a while. For this I would need WiFi as neither the iPad/iPhone nor the laptop has any network ports.
